We recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary!
Where else would this couple who had a Disney themed wedding celebrate but the happiest place on earth!?
You would think that after all these years we would have eaten our way through the parks, but there are still a few places we have yet to try.
Wine Country Trattoria at Disney’s California Adventure was one of those.
See what we ate, what the wait staff did to honor our special day, accessibility information, and discover one little hiccup with our experience.

You will be happy to know that all restaurants at the Disneyland resort now list allergy friendly meals on their official mobile app and park menus.
Allergies listed are:
- Peanut/Tree Nut
Guests may also request gluten-free pasta.
Our queen, The Disabled Diva, doesn’t have your typical food allergies.
Her worst food allergy is to lemons and limes. Coming into contact with them causes blisters on her tongue, gums, throat, lips, and skin. They also cause her throat to swell when swallowed.
When checking in at our reservation time we were asked about food allergies. We informed about the lemon/lime allergy and were handed the allergy friendly menu, which was of no use for this particular allergy.
We stressed to our waitress the importance of not garnishing any of our plates or glasses with lemons or limes. She assured us that they don’t do that and that everything would be fine.
As you can see in the top righthand photo, they do garnish with lemons!
This was brought to the attention of the wait staff and promptly fixed.
Not realizing that we would be given warm and oh so soft and delicious bread before dinner, we ordered two appetizers. The fried calamari and rustic bruschetta.
Can you tell that we had been saving our appetite?!?!
Both were amazing!!! The calamari was soft and tender and the pepperoncini aioli was outstanding! The bruschetta could pass for a meal by itself!
For our entrees our king ordered the Osso Buco and the queen ordered the Rib-Eye Steak.
The king’s lamb was tender and delicious.
The queen’s steak was grilled to order, tender, and full of flavor! The garlic-stacked potatoes stole the show!! So flavorful, creamy, and rich!!!! And the roasted Brussels sprouts were almost sinfully delicious!
We look forward to trying some of the other menu items in the future!
For dessert we ordered both the Wine Country Tiramisu and the Ghirardelli Chocolate and Caramel Panna Cotta because they both sounded amazing.
And we were right!!!
Both desserts were light and fluffy, yet, rich in flavor.
Had we known that our waitress was going to surprise us with an anniversary dessert, we may not have ordered two.
However, we found room in our bellies for one more!
The best way to describe this sweet and adorable dessert is the inside was like a moist brownie or a very thick, rich, and moist cake pop. While the outer chocolate shell was not super sweet, but also not bitter dark chocolate, more like somewhere in between. No matter how you describe it, your taste buds will love every bite!
Where to find and what you need to know

Overall we give this restaurant four out of five Mickey ears!
Had lemons not been served, this outstanding eatery would have received all five!
The queen had her new rollator/transport chair combo with her that evening. This restaurant was easy to access via the ramp next to the stairs leading to the hostess check in area.
We were seated outside on the lower level and were able to park the rollator across from our table and out of everyone’s way. There was plenty of room had she wanted to remain seated in her transport chair.
