Tears help detoxify your body! Emotional tears contain stress hormones and other toxins. The theory is that crying flushes them out of your system.
Sadness isn’t the only reason for crying, we also cry when we are scared or happy. There are some researchers at Yale University who think crying may restore our emotional balance.
