Disneyland Food and Wine fans like myself are thrilled that California Adventure will be hosting A Touch of Disney starting March 18, 2021. The end date has been extended to April 15th but could change. With the news of California theme parks being allowed to reopen under strict guidelines, we are all sitting on the edge of our seats waiting for Disneyland to release an official reopening date. Note that under the reopening guidelines, only California residents will be able to attend. As we reach higher tiers in our state’s reopening plan, visitors from out of state and country will once again be welcomed.
While we wait for the big announcement here are some details about A Touch of Disney, ticket sales, what to expect, and more!

A Touch of Disney Tickets
Tickets for this event went on sale on March 4th and sold out the same day! Check Disneyland’s event page often as they may add more tickets and dates.
The cost per ticket was $75 which includes parking in the Mickey and Friend’s parking garage, entrance into Disney’s California Adventure, unlimited photo pass downloads, and a $25 food credit to be used within that park.
Not knowing what time the ticket sales would begin, I began watching the site at midnight. Not an easy feat considering I am typically in bed by 9 pm! This is how much I love Disneyland! Anyways, with several laptops and phones all set up and ready to click, I waited……. And waited…… And waited!!!! My daughter stayed up until 2 am. My husband woke up and joined the effort around 4 am. Finally, around 8:20 am the link appeared and we clicked every device we had. Each one stated we had more than an hour to wait to enter the store. There were technical issues on Disney’s part which made the wait extremely long for some and frustrating for all. I cannot complain too much as we were able to purchase our tickets within 3 hours of the link going live. However, I would have gone several days without sleep to get these tickets!!!
What to Expect
The event itself is similar to Disney’s Food and Wine Festival. There will be a few vendor carts like past festivals. One thing my husband and I have never liked about Food and Wine was having to wait in long lines at each cart. Thankfully, it won’t be a problem with A Touch of Disney as mobile ordering will be available!
In addition to a few Food and Wine favorites, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy their favorite Disneyland dishes! We are looking forward to eating out way through the park. Lobster Nachos and the Monte Cristo are two of our family faves!
For the first time since the shutdown last year, the entire California Adventure park with the exception of the new Marvel land will be open to guests. No rides will be operating, but there will be fun photo opportunities with the characters from Cars and Inside Out.
